  • Fairy Dust

K is a “fairy” in Shakespeare’s Midsummer’s Night Dream.  Since the setting is a contemporary prep school, the fairies are more like Charlie’s angels in blue lipstick. Joanna Lowe (from Dead Patrol), the director, made the play one of the most understandable productions of MND or any Shakespeare that I’ve ever seen.

The tough thing is that K, L, and I were witnesses to a horrific accident a couple hours before K had to go on stage. She wasn’t sure she could do it, but she didn’t let her fellow cast members down. She is such a mature girl. (And with her hair up, she is 6′ 5″ on stage. LOL)

I felt so bad that she was on the scene of this accident (The news story.). L was with us and a great comfort. He, too, had big play responsibilities. He runs sound. Tough, tough day.

  • Oh my. Such a sad thing to witness. I’m glad K and L recovered sufficiently to go on.

  • oh man! what strength to carry on! sounds like a smashing production.

  • I honestly looked at this picture and wondered why K.T. wasnt in it. I think it is the VERY dark lipstick but she is gorgeous no matter what!! I am sure L looked dynamite as he did the sound!!!
Dad gave me a brief summary the other night before I read about the witnessed accident and am so sorry for you guys that you had to see that at any time!!!
Cool both KT &L were able to go on with the performance. Paul actually had a couple of hitches in the musical and ‘went on’, too! What remarkable kids in this family. Well, lets just say born to be in the spotlight!!! (they did sing, dance, etc and it is probably a 8 song production). F&P’s dad was also there so , hopefully he got some sort of message!!

  • @onRway3 - Wow, that is cool that the guys’ dad came to the show!Yes, K is hard to recognize. She is the one in the puce green shirt and clunky necklace. I hope she never wears dark blue lipstick as a matter of course. |||||| lynard

  • Yup, it was a tough decision, but I figured that being clothed on my wedding day would be a good idea :)

  • Re: your question about the engagement ring – Jason bought it yesterday for a lovely girl named Tiana – She’s out of town these couple of days, at a conference. I don’t think she looks at my blog, but just in case, I don’t want to write about it there. I plugged in there in the Xanga album to show Lois and others in our Calvinist forum. How was I to know you people would go looking at my photos, even when they’re’s no comment?? She gets home tomorrow night. I hope to have a photo of her wearing it by Sunday somtime, as well as the story of how Jason proposed. And yes, it’s from Kinley’, of course!me<><

  • @presby2 - Your photo loads show up in our newsfeeds on our “private,” so we are not snooping so much! What a happy secret. I will keep it along with the other hundred (cough) people that read my blog and won’t tell anyone that will tell anyone.|||||| lynard
