“I can’t believe everybody dies.”
One day after watching We Are Marshall, Kate is still saying in a bewildered way, “I can’t believe everybody dies.”
I swear we discussed in front of her that it was the premise of the movie, based on true story, blah, blah. Poor girl is in shock.
The thing is when the kids asked me about any book or movie plot, I often say, “In the end, everybody dies.” Maybe I cried wolf once too many.

was it a good movie?
Gee, I’ve never seen this movie, but apparently now I don’t need to. *koff*
You are NEVER supposed to spoil the ending of a movie like this — without announcing there are spoilers ahead. Gahh. You need to go to http://www.movieforums.com and learn a few lessons on movie discussion etiquette.
LOL I didn’t give slip to a spoiler. It is the PREMISE of the movie. It was in the trailer. You know about the plot–most of the football team from Marshall and many parents, etc., die in a plane crash. It is a true story, silly Austry.

But I didn’t KNOW that part. And, was it in the basic trailers, because honestly, I hadn’t a clue until I read it here today. Anyway, you just saved me two hours of my time, so thanks for that, at least.
@austruck1 — Wow, I thought everybody knew that. *I* knew it before I watched the movie. It doesn’t give you a clue what the movie is about or how it ends, so you should watch it.
This is the one-sentence description from imdb: “When a plane crash claims the lives of members of the Marshall University football team and some of its fans, the team’s new coach (McConaughey) and his surviving players try to keep the football program alive.” Is imdb “spoiling”?
I got the movie to watch this weekend…
