  • The Gordons had a fantabulous weekend…almost as sweet as camping. (I’m still sniffing my smoky jacket to recapture the autumnal paradise!) First, my uncle installed five new windows where there were just a few cobwebs, some loose glass, saran wrap flapping in the breeze, and rotted wood. God bless talented contractors! God bless Uncle Joe! We should be shoveling less snow out of our bedroom this winter!

Second, we had a great gang for Sabbath dinner. We were so privileged to see Nancy G. from this past summer’s mission team with her mom, Kathy, from Philly. Sylvia, Pete, Jessie, and the DiSoccio’s (sp?) joined us, too. The conversation ranged from the silly to the sublime. Drew and I really appreciated a conversation that we had with Sam and Jo about urban ministry. It is encouraging to talk with other Reformed peeps that care about the needs in the inner-city. The challenge to bring the gospel across cross-cultural, and sometimes cross-economical and cross-educational, barriers is difficult, but we are not strengthened by the world, but by the One, True, Living God.

We’ll be attending board meetings the next two days. Pray for the RPCNA Education & Publication Board as they make decisions. There is a lot to discuss. Sleep is probably recommended. See ya!

  • Mrs. Gordon,
I had a few quick questions about old Minutes of Synod.  Do you know if you’d be able to answer them when you’re not in the office?
